SHE:KON (Hello)

Welcome to the Akwesasne Animal Society.  We are a 501(c)(3) non profit animal shelter and humane outreach center located on the Akwesasne Mohawk reservation. Akwesasne reservation is geographically unique.  It is located in two countries, one state, two counties and two provinces.  This geographic uniqueness is a challenge for our community to function as one.  The animals of Akwesasne are no exception.

 

It is our goal to provide services and support to the members of the community without hindrance of borders, animals do not recognize borders.
